How Lyfeira handles your data

Last updated: May 27, 2026

1. Who controls this policy

Lyfeira is a private personal life analytics app. For privacy questions, data rights requests, or account deletion support, contact privacy@lyfeira.com.

2. What data Lyfeira collects

Lyfeira may collect and store the information you choose to enter or import, including:

  • Account data such as name, email address, protected sign-in details, timezone, preferences, and consent records.
  • Daily check-in data such as mood, energy, stress, productivity, sleep quality, motivation, habits, and context.
  • Journal text, life events, travel days, sickness, conflict, wins, recovery notes, and unusual day context.
  • Health-style metrics you enter or import, such as sleep timing, steps, workouts, heart-rate fields, weight, and similar rows.
  • Optional consumption and finance summaries, such as caffeine, alcohol, water, supplements, income, spending, and investing fields.
  • Technical and security data such as sign-in events, rate-limit records, basic request metadata, and logs needed to protect the service.

3. How Lyfeira uses data

Lyfeira uses your data to provide your private account experience, including:

  • Saving your check-ins, history, settings, and imported rows.
  • Showing dashboards, history, reviews, trends, and careful personal pattern reads.
  • Generating optional AI-assisted reflections only when the feature is enabled or consented to.
  • Providing data export, account deletion, authentication, abuse prevention, and security monitoring.
  • Improving product quality using aggregate or de-identified feedback where practical.

Lyfeira does not sell your personal life data and does not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where privacy laws such as the GDPR apply, Lyfeira relies on a small number of legal bases:

  • Contract: to create your account, save entries, show the app experience, export data, and delete your account.
  • Consent: for optional AI-assisted features and any optional tracking choices that require consent.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the app secure, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve reliability.
  • Legal obligations: where Lyfeira must keep or disclose limited information to comply with law.

5. AI provider disclosure

Optional AI features may send selected metrics, summaries, journal text, life events, and recent context to a third-party AI API provider to generate reflections or suggestions. These features are optional and can be skipped.

Lyfeira does not use your identifiable private logs to train public AI models. Lyfeira does not opt in to provider training for API data. If the AI provider or data handling changes, this policy should be updated before the feature is used differently.

AI outputs are reflective support only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, financial advice, legal advice, or proof that one behavior caused an outcome.

6. Data export and deletion

You can export your account data from the app settings page. The export currently returns a JSON file with your profile details, daily check-ins, health imports, and life events.

You can delete your account from settings. Account deletion permanently removes your profile and personal tracking rows from active service records. Backups, if maintained by infrastructure providers, may retain protected copies for a limited operational period before they expire.

You can also contact privacy@lyfeira.com for help with export, correction, or deletion requests.

7. GDPR and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent for optional AI features.

If you are in the EU or EEA, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Lyfeira will try to resolve privacy requests directly first.

8. Cookies and local storage

Lyfeira uses essential cookies or similar storage for authentication, session security, preferences, and keeping the app working. The public marketing site is not designed around third-party advertising cookies.

If analytics, advertising, or non-essential cookies are added later, Lyfeira should update the cookie policy and consent experience before using them.

9. Security basics

Lyfeira uses account authentication, encrypted transport, server-side validation, abuse-prevention controls, data isolation by user account, export controls, and account deletion controls. Sensitive keys are managed outside public client code.

No online service can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe you found a security issue, contact privacy@lyfeira.com.

10. Service providers

Lyfeira may use trusted providers for hosting, data storage, authentication support, transactional email, abuse prevention, monitoring, and optional AI features. These providers are used only where needed to run the service, protect accounts, and provide requested features.

11. Changes

Lyfeira may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes should be reflected with a new update date and, where appropriate, an in-product notice or renewed consent.
